'Harry Potter' Actor Tom Felton Recalls Draco Malfoy's Best Moments

'Getting punched by Hermione, that one gets brought up a bit with me,' he sighs to MTV News.

From "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" to "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2," there is more than a decade of production, eight films and billions upon billions of box-office dollars earned. There are countless moments to highlight and analyze over the next few months between "Deathly Hallows - Part 1" and "Part 2," the final chapter in the world of Harry Potter.

Here at MTV News, we've been celebrating the unparalleled success and fan fervor for the films with a series of photo galleries and best-of lists, the most recent being a look back at one of Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton's first onscreen appearances, as well as a compilation of Potter hotties, young and not-as-young.

In the spirit of reminiscence, when we caught up with Felton, we asked him to give us a rundown of Draco Malfoy's best (and worst) moments.

"One of my favorite ones from the early days was the dueling scene when [Harry and Draco] were up on the table from 'The Chamber of Secrets,' " Felton recalled. "I think that was a lot of fun, doing our own stunts at 13 or 14. That was pretty exciting.

"And of course the last one we did, 'The Half-Blood Prince' was just so much fun as a whole project. The fight in the bathroom was a lot of fun as well. They rigged the whole bathroom up, and we tore it to pieces within two days," he said. "That was exciting."

Another moment that was exciting — more for Draco haters than supporters — was when Felton took a punch to the face from Emma Watson's feisty Hermione Granger.

"Getting punched by Hermione, that one gets brought up a bit with me," Felton admitted of the infamous "Prisoner of Azkaban" scene. "A lot of street cred was lost on that film," he sighed.

Tom Felton Picks His Most 'Terrifying' 'Harry Potter' Villain

Ralph Fiennes 'can be ferocious' as Voldemort, actor tells MTV News.

These last few weeks leading up to the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1." have likely been the best of the year for dedicated Potter fans. Here at MTV News, we've had our eyes on everything from the trailers to the beautifully dark posters, and we've even stolen a few moments with castmembers.

Our most recent chat came courtesy of fan favorite Tom Felton, who, in addition to teasing Draco Malfoy's scenes in the final films, provided commentary on Warner Bros.' lucrative marketing campaign and shared his love for his fellow Potter villains — even the terrifying ones.

"[The posters] are amazing! I love the single [character] ones — especially the ones of Ralph [Fiennes, as Voldemort]," Felton said. "It's a shadow almost with a gleam of white. He's a terrifying guy. ... He's a lovely guy, actually, but with the whole face makeup on, when he literally turns it on, he can be ferocious," he revealed. "Needless to say, there wasn't a lot of acting required when he was going mad. It was pretty terrifying stuff."

Felton added that Fiennes' chilling portrayal of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named ranks at the top of his "Potter" baddest baddies list.

"Ralph has to take biscuit really as the ultimate 'Potter' villain, and he does that effortlessly," Felton said. "But Jason [Isaacs, who plays Felton's father, Lucious Malfoy] has got a little bit of favor as well. I've learned a lot from Jason myself, actually, so he's been incredibly good to me as his onscreen son. And Helena [Bonham Carter] as well," he said. "She's extravagant in every best sense of the word. She's a delight to work with. She goes completely mad on camera, which is fantastic to watch."

Julie Bowen's Memorable Twin Moment

Taking care of her to-do list, Julie Bowen was out and about in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon (November 11) doing various errands.

The ?Modern Family? babe headed over to Aaron Brothers to pick up some frames, and also mailed a few packages along the way.

During her recent interview on Conan O?Brien?s new show, Julie told a story about her kids and the mischief they get into.

The American Music Awards continue to add mega-star wattage to their performance lineup. Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Kid Rock were announced as additions to the roster Thursday (November 11).

The trio join previously announced acts Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Ke$ha (who are all nominated for Artist of the Year), Bon Jovi, Pink, Usher, Ne-Yo, Diddy, New Kids on the Block and Christina Aguilera, who will perform a number from her upcoming movie "Burlesque."

Eminem and Lady Antebellum lead all AMA nominees with five apiece. Eminem is nominated for Favorite Male Artist in both the Pop or Rock (up against Bieber and Usher) and Hip-Hop categories, Favorite Album in both the Pop or Rock and Hip-Hop categories, and Artist of the Year (where he'll face off against Lady Gaga, Perry, Bieber and Ke$ha). Bieber will compete for Favorite Male Artist - Pop or Rock, Artist of the Year, Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Album of the Year - Pop or Rock for My World 2.0.

"As a small-town kid from Canada, I never imagined that I would be nominated for AMAs, let alone be performing on the show," Bieber said, according to The Associated Press, which added that the 16-year-old professed to feel "extremely humbled and honored" by the invitation to play the show.

"Justin, Katy and Ke$ha have been on the top of the charts all year long. We are happy to see each of them make their own AMA history," AMA producer Larry Klein said in a statement announcing the performers.

Beyonce's Mom Denies Pregnancy Rumors

Tina Knowles tells Ellen DeGeneres that her daughter is not pregnant.

Not so fast. By now, the Knowles family is used to the constant rumors about Beyoncé's reported pregnancies. But in an unusual move, the singer's mother, Tina Knowles, is slated to appear on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday to refute the latest claims.

The latest round of whispers started earlier this week when Us Magazine, citing an unnamed source, reported that the 29-year-old star was expecting her first child with hubby and fellow mogul Jay-Z.

But according to a clip of Thursday's show obtained by gossip site TMZ, Tina Knowles flatly denied those stories. "I heard that, but I'm here to clear the rumors up. The truth is it's not Beyoncé that's pregnant, it's me," she jokingly told Ellen. "No, it's not true. Not right now. I'm looking forward to it. With all the rumors, by now I should have about five or six grandchildren."

Tina does have one grandchild so far, 6-year-old Daniel Julez Smith, the son of her youngest daughter Solange.

Before the denial, Us reported that a source said, "B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet ... She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again." Another unnamed source claimed the singer was in her first trimester and that she considered the pregnancy "a gift from God and she's so happy."

This is the second time this year that a rumor has surfaced about Beyoncé being pregnant. In March, her representatives quickly shot down reports that Beyoncé was pregnant.

The couple, who married in 2008, have always kept their private life private, but Beyoncé has been open to talking about motherhood. Earlier this year, she spoke to Allure about the prospect of being a mother. "I definitely want to have a child, but I know from my nephew it's a lot. I hope that those things will just happen naturally. I still haven't had time to relax," she said.

Britney Spears 'Glee' Episode Takes On '... Baby One More Time'

Lea Michele dons Brit's naughty schoolgirl look for a faithful cover of the 1998 hit.
By Aly Semigran

Lea Michele performs "... Baby One More Time" on "Glee" on Tuesday
Photo: FOX

It was the song that launched the career of one of the most beloved, albeit troubled, pop stars of the past decade. Its iconic video spawned a modern-day "Lolita" and earned the title of #1 first favorite video on "TRL." So, of course, Britney Spears' 1998 smash "... Baby One More Time" was an obvious choice for Tuesday night's episode of "Glee."

While general-anesthesia-induced hallucinations had another Brittany (Heather Morris) tackling "Me Against the Music" and "I'm a Slave 4 U," star Lea Michele took on the timelessly catchy "...Baby One More Time." As Michele mimicked Spears' naughty schoolgirl look, the instantly recognizable opening notes pounded on the piano (though the "Glee" version had a slight change of key). With her throaty "Oh bay-buh, bay-buh," Michele effortlessly channeled the song (surprisingly enough, she sounded downright restrained) that made the former "Mickey Mouse Club" member a superstar.

It's fitting that "Glee" paid homage to the song that is but a few weeks away from celebrating its 12th anniversary. (Go on and take a moment to absorb that information.) "... Baby One More Time," the first single of Spears' debut album of the same name, was released in the United States in late October 1998.

Of course, it could have all sounded very different if writer Max Martin had followed through with his original plan to have R&B heavyweights TLC sing the track. The song was also originally titled "Hit Me Baby One More Time" but was changed due to concerns about it being misinterpreted.

In Spears' capable 16-year-old pigtails, the single went on to sell over 9 million copies, garnered Spears her first Grammy nomination (Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, which she lost to Sarah McLachlan for "I Will Remember You") and reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The rest of the album featured other Spears hits, including "(You Drive Me) Crazy" and "Sometimes," but neither of those songs left quite the same impact.

Spears told Blender — which placed the track at the #9 spot on its list of "The 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born" — that the song wasn't an easy undertaking for her at first (of course, neither was the immense fame that followed). Spears revealed, "I didn't do well at all the first day in the studio. I was just too nervous. So I went out that night and had some fun. The next day I was completely relaxed and nailed it. You gotta be relaxed singing '... Baby One More Time.' "

Spears looked more than at ease during awards show appearances that followed, namely the 1999 VMAs, in which the leather-clad pop princess took the stage alongside her tourmates 'NSYNC for a "... Baby One More Time"/ "Tearin' Up My Heart" showstopper.

Of course, long before the folks at "Glee" took "... Baby One More Time" out for a spin, countless other musicians had already had at it. From punk rock (Simple Plan) to acoustic (Travis), Spears' song has been refashioned (albeit, sometimes ironically) in many genres. Take, for instance, Bowling for Soup's cover of the ditty, which wound up on Bowling for Soup Goes to the Movies. And even Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray took a crack at it in the 2003 film "Freaky Friday."

What did you think of the "Glee" covers of Britney's songs? Share your reviews in the comments.

Dimmu Borgir Release Live DVD; Plus Led Zeppelin, Brujeria, & More News That Rules, In Metal File

'It shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums,' guitarist says.
By Chris Harris

On October 14, Dimmu Borgir — who just happen to be Demi Lovato's favorite black-metal band — will release a a three-disc DVD/CD set called "The Invaluable Darkness," the band's first visual offering since 2002's "World Misanthropy." Boasting live footage shot last year, during gigs in Norway, Germany and England, "The Invaluable Darkness" demonstrates the unbridled furor of seeing Dimmu live, guitarist Silenoz said.

"It shows the honest rawness and atmospheric darkness of our concerts," the Norwegian told Metal File last week, after dismissing recent online rumors that his band's next LP would be coming out through Roadrunner Records. "Basically, it shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums. It's just a different side to the band, basically."

Dimmu Borgir began thinking about "The Invaluable Darkness" two years ago, but didn't start capturing footage until last summer, Silenoz explained, adding that the band will use its current stint on the Blackest of the Black Tour — which got underway Thursday night in Miami Beach, Florida, and also features the tour's founder, Danzig, along with Moonspell, Winds of Plague and Skeletonwitch — to promote the DVD. Dimmu Borgir will not, however, use the tour to write material for their next LP.

"It's our first time on Blackest, but Glenn [Danzig] had wanted to bring us out before [on the tour], but we weren't available until now," Silenoz said. "We've done Ozzfest before, but we're looking forward to this tour more. We did the main stage on Ozzfest, playing in f--_ing broad daylight. This tour will let us play in bigger places, but at the same time showcase more of what the band's about, visually. We are going to concentrate on the tour for now. Some years ago, we tried putting [material] together on the road, but once we got home, we listened back to it, and were like, 'What the f--- is this?' So, we just scrapped it all. We find it's so much better to totally focus on one thing at a time, and then, when that's over, you move on to the next [thing]. We don't really feel like we need to rush things, anyway, so we'll just take our time, and it's going to be what it's going to be."

Dimmu Borgir hope to reconvene in late December to begin writing the follow-up to 2007's diabolically titled In Sorte Diaboli. "We have some ideas floating around already, but we haven't arranged any material yet," he said. "We'll start doing that once the touring for this DVD is over." The band's frontman, Shagrath, is also due to marry soon — he's engaged to actor Nicolas Cage's ex-girlfriend, Christina Fulton, so that may have an effect on when Dimmu finish their next album, which Silenoz said could be out this coming spring.

"I'm sure [Shagrath] won't let anything get in the way [of] the band — I think, I hope," the guitarist said. "We don't need a Yoko [Ono] situation."

While Dimmu have been at it going on 15 years now, Silenoz said he doesn't think their forthcoming material will be much of a departure from their previous black-metal offerings.

"And we have always been about more than just that term, 'black metal,' " he said. "Luckily for us, the older you get, the less concerned you get with the categorization and putting labels on your music. Things start getting more and more limitless with us, and we know that we operate within certain frames. But we try not to analyze things too much, because it's just going to be working against you in the end. When we write new stuff, we don't think about what we should write — we just get together, and put material together, and if we like it, we keep it. That's the formula, if we even have a formula."

Dimmu Borgir are definitely getting older — guitarist Galder will be missing Blackest because of a recent addition to his family, and Susperia's Cyrus will be filling in for him; while former Vader drummer Dariusz Brzozowski takes over for Hellhammer, who had to leave the band in 2007 after sustaining a neck injury that's now limited the use of his right arm. As Dimmu has gotten on in years, Silenoz admits they have failed to keep pace with some of the more extreme black-metal acts that have followed in their wake.

"We helped open doors for the more extreme bands out there," Silenoz said. "I'm sure we helped open doors for bands like Watain, [insomuch as] people that had maybe started listening to us first then went on to the more extreme stuff. Let's face it — we're not as extreme as Watain and other bands like that, but we're fine with that."

The Blackest of the Black Tour continues through November 10 in San Francisco.

The rest of the week's metal news:

Dimmu's tourmates on Blackest, Winds of Plague, have announced ex-Azusa drummer Art Cruz has joined their ranks — he replaced Jeff Tenney. According to the band's blog, "Art has already added a new spark to the band and has provided us with a solid backbone that will allow us to continue our rampage stronger than ever." ...

What the world really needs is another Led Zeppelin box set, so, on November 4, Rhino Records will issue the Led Zeppelin Definitive Collection Mini LP Replica CD box set. For just $200, you'll get 1969's Led Zeppelin, 1969's Led Zeppelin II, 1970's Led Zeppelin III, 1971's Led Zeppelin IV, 1973's Houses of the Holy, 1975's Physical Graffiti, 1976's Presence, 1976's The Song Remains the Same, 1979's In Through the Out Door and 1982's Coda, as mini-LP replicas, with artwork from the original U.K. LP sleeves. Now, you know what you can get your dad for Christmas. ...

Former Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach and current Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz have teamed up for a new project they're calling Times of Grace, and they've already started working on material for their debut album. According to Leach, "We have two songs to go and we will be finished with all of the vocals. Adam has taken lead vocals in three songs as of yet and he is doing a great job. We also worked on a track yesterday that is so epic — we trade vocals and do two different melodies at the same time. This album went from a melodic metal album to an epic mix of metal/rock/pop/shoegaze and punk. So all of your metal expectations will be incorrect — we are pushing genre boundaries." To quote "Meet the Parents," we'll look forward to that, Greg. ...

The Funeral Pyre and Early Graves will be hitting the road together next month, starting November 7 in South Lake Tahoe, California. Dates are booked through November 21 in Hollywood. ...

The latest incarnation of Brujeria, which features Carcass frontman Jeff Walker and Napalm Death's Shane Embury, have lined up several U.S. dates for this winter. The band will begin its brief trek November 28 in Denver, and wrap things up in Dallas on December 7. ... Demiricous will be touring with the Gates of Slumber starting November 9 in Denver, for a jaunt that's scheduled to run through December 6 in Indianapolis. ...

Nearly three years after Roadrunner Records' Roadrunner United concert, which took over the Nokia Theater in New York's Times Square, the label is now releasing footage from that special night as "Roadrunner United: The Concert." The DVD, which hits stores December 9, will boast two discs and 24 live tracks, including Life of Agony's "River Runs Red," King Diamond's "Abigail," Killswitch's "My Last Serenade," Type O Negative's "Black No. 1" and Sepultura's "Refuse/Resist." ...

According to Blabbermouth, Verrot, bassist for Swedish black-metal outfit Elimi, committed suicide on October 3. In a statement, the band said, "Verrot was a very good friend, brother, an excellent bass player/musician and an important part of Elimi; we respect his decision and hope he'll find his way with the dark gods of Chaos. Let your black flame be a part of what brings forth the day of wrath."

Adam Lambert's 'Whole Lotta Love': The Story Behind The Cover

Glam rocker tackled the legendary 1970 Led Zeppelin song for 'American Idol' rock night.
By Gil Kaufman

Adam Lambert performs "Whole Lotta Love" on "American Idol" on Tuesday
Photo: R. Mickshaw/Getty Images/ Fox

Imagine a freight train speeding toward you at midnight. Or a rockslide barreling down a hill as you try to outrace it. That's the feeling of the ominous, chugging Jimmy Page riff that kicks off Led Zeppelin's 1970 Stonehenge of rock, "Whole Lotta Love." And that's before singer Robert Plant leans into one of the nastiest, ecstatic rock screams this side of the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again."

That's the song Adam Lambert chose to sing on "American Idol" rock night Tuesday (May 5), and, needless to say, it was a challenge that the eyeliner-loving Los Angeles stage veteran was more than up for, hitting a series of high notes and rock screams that would have made Plant proud. It was a risky maneuver that paid off for Lambert, who chose a tune that came in at #75 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2004.

The legendary British rock act recorded the tribute to Chicago blues icon Willie Dixon during their second U.S. tour after working it out in their live show, including it on their 1969 classic album Led Zeppelin II. Like many of the songs Zeppelin performed early in their career, "Love" was a blues standard turned on its head with a heavy dose of crunching psychedelic guitar and thundering drums, courtesy of late drummer John Bonham. The song was based on a 1962 tune by another blues forefather, Muddy Waters, called "You Need Love," which was penned by Dixon.

For Zeppelin's version, Plant customized the lyrics by adding some lyrical quotes from a few other songs Dixon wrote for Howlin' Wolf, "Back Door Man" and "Shake For Me," nailing the tricky vocal in a single take. It was also inspired by 1966's "You Need Loving" from the British rock group the Small Faces, for whom Zeppelin had great affection, but they also did not credit Dixon for his part in writing the original lyrics. The song became Zeppelin's first U.S. single and their only U.S. top 10 hit. Though their manager would not let them release singles in the U.K. because he thought it cannibalized album sales, the song was finally released as the band's only British single in 1997.

Dixon sued Zeppelin over the song in 1985, claiming it borrowed too heavily from his "You Need Love," and Zeppelin reached an agreement with him, with Dixon using the money he received to set up a program that provided musical instruments for schools. A cornerstone of heavy rock, the tune -- which was the theme song for the long-running British countdown show "Top of the Pops" in the 1970s and '80s -- has been covered by dozens of artists over the years, from Tina Turner and Ben Harper to Prince, Slash, Leona Lewis, Train's Pat Monahan, the London Symphony Orchestra and Jane's Addiction.

Get your "Idol" fix on MTV News' "American Idol" page, where you'll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions.

On Thursday (November 4), U2, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift won big at the 2010 Billboard Touring Awards, which hand out prizes based on global box-office numbers reported to the music trade publication Billboard.

The evening's top honors went to U2's massive U2 360 Tour, which won the Top Tour and Top Draw Awards. Those awards are given to the tours that, respectively, have the highest box-office gross and sell the most tickets worldwide during the period between October 1, 2009, and September 30.

Lady Gaga, who is projected to gross nearly $200 million once her long-running Monster Ball Tour wraps up, took home the Breakthrough Award as well as the Concert Marketing & Promotion Award. Virgin Mobile served as the singer's official sponsors for the American and Canadian legs of her trek.

Taylor Swift continued her rather astounding week by taking home the Top Package Award for her Fearless Tour, which featured opening acts Kellie Pickler and Gloriana.

A few other awards were handed out at the ceremony, which took place at the close of the Billboard Touring Conference in New York. Dane Cook edged out his fellow comedians to take the Top Comedy Tour Award. Metallica received the Eventful Fans' Choice Award, while fellow hard rockers AC/DC won the Top Boxscore Award for their three-night stint at ANZ Stadium in Sydney. Prog-rock legends Rush were named the 2010 Billboard Legends Of Live, and Jack Johnson took home the Humanitarian Award.

Ke$ha doesn't need you or your brand-new Benz or your bougie friends, for that matter. She doesn't need love looking like diamonds. Why? It's sleazy.

At least that's what she's saying on her just-released track, "Sleazy," off her November 22 release, Cannibal. Bangladesh (whose credits include Beyoncé's "Diva" and "Video Phone," as well as tracks by Nelly, Gucci Mane and Ludacris) produced the track, which combines Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" swagga and J. Lo's "Love Don't Cost a Thing" attitude with a touch of Lil Wayne's "Milli" thrown in for good measure.

Ke$ha likes to party, and this song fits right in with her party-anthem discography. "I don't mean to critique on your seduction/ But your money's not impressing me/ It's kind of weak that you really think you're gonna get my rocks off/ Get my tops and socks off by showing me the dollars in your drop box," she sing-raps.

The song is three minutes and 25 seconds worth of club-banging glory thanks to a killer beat and funky sing-along lyrics (if you're not too shy) like, "Rat tat tat on your dumb dumb drum, the beat so fat gonna make me come, um um um, over to your place." Girl loves innuendo.

The song is the second new track from Ke$ha. Earlier this month she released "We R Who We R," an equally danceable tune from the same girl who brought the world hits like "Tik Tok" and "Your Love Is My Drug."

"I don't want to go away!" she said. "I feel like I'm creating this hopefully very youthful and irreverent movement of the kids, of, like, adolescence. I feel like the parents don't get it, but the kids get it. And they deserve to have more good, positive music. ... It's fun as sh--! So I wanted to give [my fans] that."

Coldplay, Led Zeppelin Album Covers Featured On New British Stamps

Album art from Pink Floyd, Blur and David Bowie also included.
By James Montgomery

Photo: Royal Mail

On Thursday (January 7), the U.K.'s Royal Mail unveiled a series of 10 new stamps, honoring the most iconic album covers of the past 40 years.

The albums featured in the new series are the Rolling Stones' Let It Bleed, Led Zeppelin's IV, David Bowie's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells, The Clash's London Calling, New Order's Power, Corruption and Lies, Primal Scream's Screamadelica, Pink Floyd's The Division Bell, Blur's Parklife and — the most recent album on to make the cut — Coldplay's A Rush of Blood to the Head.

Meant to honor "the most potent graphic images of modern times, many of which have provided a visual soundtrack to people's lives," the series is the end result of a lengthy research process by the Royal Mail, who looked through thousands of album covers by British artists before deciding on the final list. And, during a Wednesday night BBC Radio broadcast, it was revealed that the queen herself actually approved each design.

Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page — who helped design the cover for IV — was on hand to celebrate the release of the stamps and recalled the mysterious nature of the album's iconic imagery.

"Almost 40 years after the album came out, nobody knows the old man who featured on the cover, nor the artist who painted him," he said. "That sort of sums up what we wanted to achieve with the album cover, which has remained both anonymous and enigmatic at the same time."

Of course, any great honor is befitting of an equally great contest, so, on the same day the stamps were made available to the general public, Coldplay decided to give one of their Rush of Blood stamps away. In a message on their official site, the band held a contest to send one lucky fan "a letter using a Coldplay stamp, postmarked with today's issue date."

"We visited our local post office earlier today and bought some of the Coldplay stamps," the message read. "Very nice they are too."

Ke$ha Goes 'Hard' On New Single, 'We R Who We R'

Singer keeps the party going with first single from Cannibal.
By Jocelyn Vena

Ke$ha
Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage

Ke$ha has found a chart-topping formula — combine killer beats with lyrics about super-fun parties and hot pants. And her latest single, "We R Who We R," certainly fits that mold.

The track, the first single off her November 22 release Cannibal, hit the Internet on Thursday (October 14). It's another uber-fun tune about how awesome it is to dance the night away, with Ke$ha singing on the chorus: "Tonight we're going hard/ Just like the world is ours/ We're tearing it apart/ You know we're superstars/ we are who we are."

While the song doesn't veer much from prior club bangers like "Tik Tok" and "Take It Off," the singer admits that "We R" is in part inspired by the recent rash of suicides among gay youth. "I wanted to inspire people to be themselves," she told EW.com. "It's a celebration of any sort of quirks or eccentricities."

In January, Ke$ha released her debut album Animal and it went straight to the top of the charts. Cannibal — a nine-song set that features collaborations with Max Martin, Benny Blanco and Bangladesh — is set to be released both on its own and as a bundle with Animal.

"I don't want to go away!" she said. "I feel like I'm creating this hopefully very youthful and irreverent movement of the kids, of, like, adolescence. I feel like the parents don't get it, but the kids get it. And they deserve to have more good, positive music ... It's fun as sh--! So I wanted to give [my fans] that."

The Seventeen cover girl also tweeted a message to her fans about the tune: "WE R WHO WE R! on the radio today you guys like??? dancin liiiiike were dumbbbb we be forever younggggg."

New Led Zeppelin On The Way? Jason Bonham Hints At 'Jam' Sessions With Jimmy Page -- But Not Robert Plant

Drummer admits he doesn't know what will come of 'new material.'
By Chris Harris

Photo: Larry Marano/ Getty Images

On Friday morning, mere hours before he was due to take the stage with classic rockers Foreigner at Detroit's GM Renaissance Center, drummer Jason Bonham — the son of late Led Zeppelin kitman John Bonham — told Jim Johnson and Lynne Woodison of local rock station 94.7 WCSX that he'd be an ex-member of Foreigner as of September 1. But that's not the only thing he said.

Much to the delight of Led Zeppelin fans everywhere, Bonham revealed that he's been meeting up with Led Zep guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones in recent months and that they've been "trying to do some new material and writing."

It was the first time since Led Zeppelin announced they would re-form for a single performance (which happened late last year at London's O2 Arena, in honor of the late Ahmet Ertegün, who signed the band to Atlantic Records in 1969) that anyone connected to the band has confirmed publicly that new music could be on the horizon for the iconic rockers. While the bandmembers have stopped short of definitively ruling out such a reunion, singer Robert Plant insisted in the wake of last year's show that he intended to focus on promoting and touring behind his critically lauded album with bluegrass artist Alison Krauss, Raising Sand.

Not that Bonham knows what — if anything — will happen with the new material he's been working on with Page (who collaborated with pop singer Leona Lewis on an uneven version of Zep's "Whole Lotta Love" at the Olympic closing ceremonies in Beijing on Sunday night) and Jones. He said he just shows up and takes his seat behind the kit.

"I've been over [to England] a couple of times," Bonham said. "I've been working with Jimmy and John Paul and trying to do ... some new material and some writing. I don't know what it will be, but it will be something. At the moment, all I know is I have the great pleasure to go and jam with the two guys and start work on some material. When I get there, I never ask any questions. If I get a phone call to go and play, I enjoy every moment of it. Whatever it ends up as, to ever get a chance to jam with two people like that, it is a phenomenal thing for me. It's my life. It's what I've dreamed about doing."

He said it's still too early to tell what will become of these "jam" sessions, but admitted that the "possibility of doing something is in the cards. I really felt it was in the cards from the moment we walked offstage at the O2." Bonham also explained that, before there could be a Led Zep LP, "lots of politics [would need to] get ironed out," but added that recording with Zep is "something I've always wanted to do."

Bonham noticeably didn't mention frontman Plant's name during the discussion. A spokesperson for Page's management had no comment on the matter, and a spokesperson for Jones' management could not be reached by press time.

Brad Pitt Says He Did 'Megamind' For His Kids

'You're a dad: Dads are square,' voice of Metro Man tells MTV News at New York premiere.

If anyone was born to play a superhero, it's Brad Pitt, thanks to his chiseled good looks and generally hunky demeanor. So, in his new flick, "Megamind," out Friday (November 5), Pitt suited up as Metro Man, archnemesis to the evil Megamind (voiced by Will Ferrell). Unfortunately for the mothers of the world who will get dragged to theaters this weekend, Pitt is only a hero in animation.

"Do you want to wear the costume, really?" he wondered to MTV News at the flick's New York premiere, where we caught up with all of the film's stars. "One of the dreams is not having to put on makeup or put on wardrobe. It's not a bad gig. It's pretty easy."

For years, Pitt has been the go-to Hollywood stud, and it's almost surprising that it took this long to get him in tights. And, he said he can't recall any other times he has been linked, even in rumors, to a superhero role.

So, why was "Megamind" the perfect way for him to stretch his superhero muscles?

"It's my kids; try and score some points with my kids," he said of his six children with Angelina Jolie. "You're a dad: Dads are square. But, also, this one's got Jeffrey Katzenberg behind it, and Will Ferrell's really big in our house, and Jonah Hill's the next coming. What more do you need?"

And, if his small army of children isn't impressed by his A-list movie career, what does impress the Jolie-Pitt crew? "It's bribery. It's candy. Really!" he explained, adding what works for him: "Just a little caress."

Would you like to see Brad as a superhero in a live-action flick? Give us your two cents below!

Check out everything we've got on "Megamind."

Justin Bieber's Acoustic 'Never Say Never' Video Debuts At World Series

Short clip features Bieber singing from a baseball diamond.

Photo: Moana Hom/MTV News

Justin Bieber's new video for the acoustic version of "Never Say Never" is short and sweet. Lasting only one minute and 24 seconds, the clip, which debuted during Game 3 of the World Series on Saturday, gives fans a taste of what Bieber's forthcoming acoustic album will sound like.

Standing on a baseball diamond, Bieber is wearing a Texas Rangers jacket and a San Francisco Giants baseball hat. Footage of Bieber singing from the baseball diamond is cut with footage of the players hitting balls and hanging out in the dugout. The video shows Bieber playing some acoustic guitar as well. In the end, Bieber walks off the field, bat and guitar in hand.

The synthier version of the song, which features rapping by Jaden Smith, appeared on the "Karate Kid" soundtrack earlier this year. The video for that version features the two young stars cavorting in the studio. The title has become something of a mantra for Bieber. He's tweeted such inspiring messages as "#NeverSayNever to believing in your dreams ... u all make mine come true everyday. thank u :)" to his fans.

"Never Say Never" also serves as the title of Bieber's 3-D flick, out in February. "That's sort of the power of our movie: to help inspire kids to follow their dreams, and anyone really, kid or adult," director Jon Chu told MTV News. "It's been sort of a family journey of fulfilling your destiny."

And for the haters, Chu said that this film will prove that Bieber is the real deal. "The number-one thing we wanted was the honesty in this," he explained. "People have a very preconceived notion of Justin Bieber and people can think whatever they want, but we wanted to show the honest other side of Justin."

Jake Gyllenhaal Thinks It's Too Soon for Taylor Swift to See Him Naked

The whirlwind romance between Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift has been picking up steam recently, with the two seen holding hands and making out in NYC. But sources close to the actor tell me it's still way too early for Taylor to see Jake in his birthday suit, which is why Gyllenhaal hasn't invited the young singer to the premiere of his new film, Love and Other Drugs.

"Jake is making no secret that he spends most of the film naked," a friend laughs. "In fact, you get to see so much of Jake in the original cut that the director made a few edits to try and take the focus off Jake's naked ass and back onto the story."

'Megamind' Masters The Top Of The Weekend Box Office

'Due Date' and 'For Colored Girls' open strong in second and third place for one of the best November box offices in recent history.
By Josh Wigler

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, at least in Hollywood, as the release of new films "Megamind," "Due Date" and "For Colored Girls" joined forces to create one of the most lucrative November weekend box-office performances ever, promising a very strong start to the forthcoming holiday season.

The animated comedy "Megamind" was the weekend's biggest winner, spreading its sinister influence over American moviegoers everywhere to the tune of $47.7 million. "Megamind" stars Will Ferrell as the titular supervillain, who goes through a change of heart once the defeat of his superhero archrival (Brad Pitt) inspires the rise of a new bad guy (Jonah Hill). The flick shares similar themes to "Despicable Me," Steve Carell's animated superhero flick that arrived earlier this summer. Although "Megamind" scored roughly $10 million less in its opening weekend than "Despicable Me," the success of both movies proves that it's still good to be bad at the box office.

"The Hangover" director Todd Phillips' return to hard R-rated comedy in "Due Date" wasn't without its fair share of witnesses, as Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis' hilarious road-trip adventure brought in a solid $33.5 million for a second-place finish. Not as strong an opening as "The Hangover" in 2009, "Due Date" nonetheless brought home the bacon, clearing more than half of its own production budget in the process.

Tyler Perry's "For Colored Girls" debuted solidly in third place for Lionsgate, raking in $20.1 million in its first weekend in theaters. It was not exactly the most impressive of Perry's performances — "Madea Goes to Jail," at $41 million, still holds the record for his best opening — but considering it cleared the film's production budget in its first weekend, "For Colored Girls" certainly did its job.

Fourth place belonged to "Red" ($8.9 million), the Bruce Willis-led action comedy that continues to hold onto a top five seat after four weekends at the box office. The film currently sits atop a total domestic money pile worth $71.9 million. "Saw 3D" rounded out the weekend's top five performers with an $8.2 million take.

The Box-Office Top Five

#1 "Megamind" ($47.7 million)
#2 "Due Date" ($33.5 million)
#3 "For Colored Girls" ($20.1 million)
#4 "Red" ($8.9 million)
#5 "Saw 3D" ($8.2 million)

Upcoming Releases

Rachel McAdams and Harrison Ford have a story in "Morning Glory" this Wednesday, while alien thriller "Skyline" and Tony Scott's "Unstoppable" land in theaters on Friday.

Miley Cyrus Turns Up Sex Appeal For EMA Performance

Singer dons lingerie-esque leotard for the awards show, which airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on MTV2.

Miley Cyrus may not have gone ghetto chic like she did at the Much Music Awards earlier this year, but she certainly didn't tone down her sex appeal one bit when she graced the stage at the 2010 MTV Europe Awards in Madrid on Sunday.

Wearing a cream-colored lingerie-style leotard, Miley Cyrus performed her track "Who Owns My Heart" surrounded by female dancers in lingerie and male dancers in suits. The choreography was similar to that of her controversial clip, in which she grinds up against her dancers, male and female.

"We actually came up with this concept because I wanted it to kinda be 'Angels and Demons,' but it's not a Tom Hanks reference," Cyrus told MTV News last week. "It's [about the idea] that during this world, you're always going to have temptation; basically that's kind of the whole vibe."

While she remained fierce through much of the performance, she did flash a big smile when it was over.

Earlier in the night, Cyrus hit the purple carpet in a white, high-cut dress adorned by a Western cowgirl bow.

Cyrus, who told us she'll be celebrating her 18th birthday with all of her family this month, was up for two EMAs. For Best Pop, she faced off against Lady Gaga, Usher, Katy Perry and Rihanna; and for Best Female, she was up against Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Shakira and Rihanna.

The 2010 EMAs air on MTV2 on Sunday (November 7) at 9 p.m. ET, and an edited, performance-heavy version will be broadcast Friday at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
